Instead of blocking people out and ignoring their plight, one should make people actively want to leave back home or elsewhere? Under the right circumstances, people would volunteer to leave Germany. A little more on that later.
It’s been three years since I left Germany with my family.
I moved here during the Covid times. Honestly I wanted a break from Europe. In the last years I have of course followed the news in Germany and kept up-to-date there. One of the major issues is mass-migration.
A difficult problem to solve.
Should one send the people back home or let them come into the country with no limitations.
Should one trust what people say when they enter the country?
Whatever one believes is right, the economics of the country will tell you that you can only feed so many mouths with the available resources.
So instead of going into the above questions, one can look for solutions that work for all.
I personally believe that people are intrisincly valuable. They are good and they can benefit others. All people should be given chances to improve their lives. It is however up to them to make the most of it.
And I also believe that one must help others and contribute to the lives of others in order to be happy. (As a parent I loved the feeling of being there for my children and seeing their faces when they felt helped by me.)
I don’t believe you owe help to others. Help must come voluntarily.
(Some peope like to say that Germans owe it to other nations because of the wars started by Germany. Firstly it is a lie that only Germany caused the wars and secondly most countries in their history have been helped in many ways by Germans or German technology.)
I think we should give people a chance and if they make the best of it take they should be given a chance to stay in Germany.
There is no point in keeping good people out of Germany.
What does this mean?
Well, they should be allowed to work and actually must work. They must learn German and some type of profession and respect the culture of Germany.
It is a human right to respect the religion and beliefs of others. Guests of a country should respect and help their hosts.
There is so much work everywhere.
Labor in factories, streets to be maintained. Cities to be kept clean. Children that need tending to.
What about mothers you could use help to raise their children. Birthrates are declining. Maybe some of migrants can be used to help familes raise children that would increase the birthrate.
Where I live in South Africa it is quite common for homes to have domestic helpers who help take care of the children and household.
What about the old people who need 24 hour car at their homes? They also could do with help.
So there is no lack of work. One just needs to look around.
And those who prove their value and can carry their weight are given permanent residency.
Others are required to go back home. They can get some nominal one-time fee to go back home and build up their country. After all their families and friends back home need help and support. They should use their new skills to build their own countries.
Does this dovetale with current laws? Probably not. But many laws in Europe are outdated. Lawmakers should remove some of them and make new ones to fit the current circumstances.
I also believe that Germans have a high level of industriousness. Few people are able to work as hard and as concentrated as the Germans. Funnily enough, this kind of industriousness drives lazy people out of Germany. They don’t want to work. I have met quite a few people who grew up in Germany who go back to their parents’ home because they prefer the relaxed lifestyle there.
So what do you think about that?
